AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO DESIGNATE THE JUDICIAL DISTRICT IN WHICH REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD SHALL BE HELD; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section
19-3-13, Mississippi Code of 1972, the Board of Supervisors of Hinds County, Mississippi, in its discretion, by resolution duly adopted and spread on its minutes, may elect to hold regular meetings of the board of supervisors in either the first judicial district or the second judicial district and not to alternate the location of the board's regular meetings between the first and second judicial districts of the county. The board of supervisors shall designate in the resolution the judicial district in which the regular meetings shall be held and shall specify which regular meetings, if not all, will be held in such judicial district. Public notice for the regular meetings shall be provided in the manner prescribed in Section 19-3-13, Mississippi Code of 1972.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
